Analysis of Wheat Seedling Situation in Northern Winter Wheat Region and Suggestions for Spring Management Techniques
The northern winter wheat region and the Huanghuai winter wheat region are the main wheat producing areas in China,the annual wheat sowing area accounts for more than 70％of the country.Due to the suitable soil moisture during last autumn sowing in 2023,the sowing quality was high,the seedlings emerged evenly,the seedling situation was good,the population was sufficient,and the individuals were robust.In winter and early spring,there were sufficient rain and snow,and the soil moisture was good,the overall growth of seedlings was better than usual,but it is necessary to strengthen spring management,conscientiously implement various management measures,and strive to achieve a bumper wheat harvest in 2024.Therefore,the following management technical suggestions are proposed for reference by technical personnel at all levels and wheat farmers:firstly,scientific spring management,classified policy implementation,and combined promotion and control;The second is green prevention and control of diseases,pests,and weeds;Thirdly,disaster prevention and reduction,actively responding;The fourth is timely harvesting and store.
