Genetic Diversity Analysis of Introduced Potato Germplasm Resources in Northern Shanxi Province Based on SSR Molecular Markers
A genetic diversity study was carried out on 61 germplasms in China in order to examiner the genetic variation characteristics of potato(Solanum tuberosum L.)germplasm materials. The outcomes demonstrated that 12 pairs of primers amplified 100 polymorphic bands in total, yielding a polymorphism rate of 94.17%.Twelve sets of primers identified 75 allelic loci;the average polymorphic information of the primers was 0.5240,indicating substantial polymorphism. The average number of effective alleles between individuals in 61 germplasm materials was 2.6306 and the average Shannon index was 1.1413,suggesting a relatively significant genetic diversity among the examined potato cultivars. The 61 potato materials were roughly classified into two groups based on structure analysis.Principal coordinate analysis and cluster analysis further classified the tested varieties into 5 groups, and these grouping results have certain similarities. These results would provide theoretical reference for the utilization of elite potato germplasm resources, genetic variation, and scientific breeding.
