Growth and Development Process and Molecular Regulation Mechanism of Plant Root Hair
The growth and development of root hairs contribute to the acquisition of soil moisture and mineral nutrients by plants. The comprehensive investigation of root hairs holds great theoretical and practical importance in comprehending the adaptability, absorption capacity, and growth regulation mechanism of plant roots.Additionally,it establishes a solid foundation for further exploration into the mechanisms of cell differentiation, cell development, and programmed cell death. This paper delved into various aspects of root hair growth and development, including the involvement of small G protein Rop in root hair initiation and tip growth, transcription factors involved in cell fate determination, root hair initiation and development, root hair tip growth involved in Ca2+,root hair tip growth involved in phosphate and root hair growth involved in auxin.A comprehensive overview of the molecular regulation mechanisms governing root hair growth and development, including root hair cell fate determination, initiation, and tip growth was provided, along with a brief summary of the molecular regulation network of genes regulating root hair growth and development. The primary objective of this review was to provide theoretical references for the molecular regulation mechanism of root hair growth and development and to enhance our understanding of the absorption, acquisition, and utilization of nutrients by plant root hair.
