Research on contact friction characteristics of single roll drive with medium and thick plate damping
To utilize the advantages of single-roll driven rolling for medium-thickness plates,single-roll driven rolling is improved by adding damping to the upper roll system when only the lower roll is driven by the motor. The elastic-plastic finite element method is used to establish a finite element simulation model of single-roll driven rolling of medium-thick plate with damping, and simulation analysis is carried out for a variety of working conditions under different friction coefficients. The calculation results show that:the larger the friction factor of the contact surface, the asymmetry of the material flow velocity distribution, the length of the rolling area, the friction stress difference and the rolling pressure increase, and there is no significant change in the contact arc length.
