A control model of segment roll gap under seven-roller heavy pressure for continuous casting extra-thick plate
For a certain thick plate continuous casting, based on its structural characteristics and the relationship between the upper frame on the stand, the inner and outer arc rollers of the segment, and the clamping oil cylinder,as well as derive through mathematical formulas,a control model of roller gap adjustment for seven roll heavy pressure segment section was established. The model achieves precise control of the roller gap at the inlet and outlet of the sector segment by controlling the displacement of each clamping cylinder under heavy pressure. The billet heavy pressing experiments were conducted under three different working conditions using this model, the action process of each segment was precisely controlled according to the pre-set pressing amount and rate, the results showed that the looseness and shrinkage in the billet center were significantly reduced, greatly improving the billet quality.
