Wear behavior analysis of Bisplate400 wear-resistant steel in different environmental media
Bisplate400 wear-resistant steel will face various working conditions during application, which will inevitably expose it to different environmental media. To this end, friction and wear tests were carried out on Bisplate400 wear-resistant steel specimens under different loads(50 N,100 N,150 N)and environments(dry friction, deionized water and 3.5%NaCl solution). The wear surface and cross section morphology under different conditions were analyzed by using white light interference 3D surface profiler and scanning electron microscope. The results show that environment has a significant influence on the friction coefficient.Under dry friction conditions, the friction coefficient shows its maximum value, followed by the friction coefficient in deionized water environment. However, the 3.5%NaCl solution exhibits the smallest friction coefficient due to its unique lubrication characteristics.Under dry friction conditions, the depth of wear marks varies the most from the surface to the bottom of the specimen. With the increase of normal load,in a 3.5%NaCl solution environment, the wear intensifies due to corrosion wear, the deepest wear marks and the largest wear volume. In a deionized water environment, when the normal load is 50 N and 100 N,due to the lubricating and cooling effects of deionized water, the depth and wear volume of the wear marks are smaller than that under dry friction conditions. At the same time, due to the weaker corrosiveness of deionized water compared to 3.5%NaCl solution, the volume and depth of wear marks in deionized water environment are smaller than those in 3.5%NaCl solution environment. When the normal load increases to 150 N,corrosion wear intensifies, and the wear volume is larger than that under dry friction conditions.
