Research on elevated temperature tensile ductility of 2304 economical duplex stainless steel
The high temperature tensile behavior of 2304 economical duplex stainless steel was studied in the temperature of 750~1150℃ by using Gleeble-3500 thermal simulation machine. The fracture surface was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy and EBSD analysis detection methods. The equilibrium phase diagram of 2304 duplex stainless steel were calculated by Thermo-calc software. The results show that within the temperature range of 750~1 150 ℃,the cross-sectional shrinkage rate increases sequentially with the increase of temperature, and the peak stress decreases sequentially. The stress is mainly distributed in the austenite phase.2304 duplex stainless steel has good high-temperature thermoplasticity in the temperature range of 950~1 150 ℃,and the fracture surface is mainly composed of ductile dimples, which is a typical ductile fracture. The two factors of temperature increase and decrease in austenite content lead to good thermoplasticity.
