Channel Modeling and Measurement for RIS-Assisted MIMO Communication in InH Scenario
The channel measurements and modeling are conducted for reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)-assisted multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)communications in an indoor hotspots(InH)scenario at the Sub-6 GHz band and millimeter wave band.Based on the channel measurement results, the modified floating-intercept(FI)path loss model for RIS-assisted wireless communication is investi-gated,whose accuracy and parameter properties are verified. Moreover, the propagation characteristics for RIS-assisted channels, including path loss gain, path loss exponent(PLE),time dispersion, etc.,are analyzed at the multi-frequency band. These channel measurements and modeling results would lay the foundation for future applications of RIS-assisted communication systems in practice.
