Merleau-Ponty's Thought of Embodiment and Its Contemporary Value
This paper attempts to open up new horizons of modern technological criticism through Merleau-Ponty's embodied theory of manifestation.Through the inquiry of embodied existence and existential crisis,Merleau-Ponty's theory of embodied manifestation deepens the ontological perspective of critical theory of technology and opens the inquiry of the crisis of modernity.Merleau-Ponty expounded his theory of embodied embodiment from the perspectives of embodied experience,embodied space,and embodied cognition.This theory of embodied reality points out a new direction for contemporary critical theory of technology.In the face of the new domination of modern intelligent technology,only by getting rid of the prosthetic experience of embodied perception,the technological hegemony of embodied space,and the technological domination of embodied cognition can we truly realize embodied freedom.
