The TCM syndromes of 739 patients with stage Ⅲ primary liver cancer based on factor analysis and cluster analysis
Objective:Exploring the characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome distribution in Phase Ⅲ primary liver cancer.Methods:The epidemiologic and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)informational data pertaining to 739 patients diagnosed with Stage Ⅲ primary hepatic carcinoma were amassed via the"Primary Liver Cancer TCM Syndrome Distribution Questionnaire".An analytical descriptive approach was harnessed to scrutinize the patients'epidemiological data,whereas their symptoms and manifestations were examined through factorial analysis and cluster analysis.Results:Stage Ⅲ primary liver cancer involved liver,spleen,kidney,gallbladder and stomach.Diseases include:qi deficiency,yin deficiency,yang deficiency,heat,dampness,blood stasis and qi stagnation;When 11 common factors were extracted and grouped into 4 categories,the symptom indexes were well dispersed and the syndrome types were clearly distributed.Conclusion:The incidence of stage Ⅲ primary liver cancer is higher in middle-aged and elderly men,and it is easy to have extrahepatic metastasis.TCM diseases are mainly located in liver,spleen,gallbladder,kidney and stomach.and The disease is based on deficiency and excess,and the deficiency and excess are mixed.Syndrome can be divided into four syndrome types,include liver and kidney yin deficiency syndrome,liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome,syndrome of spleen deficiency and dampness,syndrome of damp-heat in liver and gallbladder,blood stasis blocking collaterals.
