The synergistic and reducing toxicity effect of elemene injectionfor liver cancer:A Systermreview
Objective:To systematically evaluate the synergistic and attenuated effects of elemene injection on patients with liver cancer by Meta-analysis,and to provide reliable evidence-based basis for the treatment of liver cancer patients. Methods:China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database,VIP database, and PubMed were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTS)on elemene injection in patients with liver cancer up to February 2024.RevMan 5.3 software was used to analyze the data. Results:A total of 13 studies were included. The results of the analysis:clinical remission rate[OR=3.60,95%CI(2.37,5.45),P<0.01].Liver function-related indicators:ALT[MD=-21.32,95%CI(-32.34,-10.40),P<0.01];AST[MD=-18.97,95%CI(-32.09,-5.85),P<0.01];TBil[MD=-4.06,95%CI(-7.57,-0.54),P=0.02];AFP[MD=-45.68,95%CI(-80.13,-11.23),P=0.009];CD4+[MD=4.90,95%CI(3.11,6.69),P<0.01];CD8+[MD=-3.62,95%CI(-7.30,0.06),P=0.05];CD4+/CD8+[MD=0.31,95%CI(0.26,0.36),P<0.01];Bone marrow suppression[OR=0.40,95%CI(0.23,0.72),P=0.002];Nausea and vomiting[OR=0.38,95%CI(0.23,0.64),P<0.01].Conclusion:Elemene can effectively alleviate bone marrow suppression, gastrointestinal injury, regulate immune response, improve drug sensitivity, reduce drug side effects, and protect liver function in patients with liver cancer.
