A study of the distribution of chinese medical pattern and pattern element in chronic hepatitis B
Objective:Through literature review, the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome types of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)was statistically analyzed and the distribution rules of TCM syndrome types were revealed. Methods:Retrieve clinical research literature on CHB from databases including the Chinese Journal Full-text Database, the Chinese Science and Technology Journals Database, the Wanfang Database publishing platform, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Database of China,PubMed,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library, spanning from January 1,2007,to December 31,2023.Analyze the Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome types and syndrome elements in the 568 included studies. Results:The top 5 TCM syndromes were liver depression and spleen deficiency,damp-heat internal obstruction, liver and kidney yin deficiency, blood stasis, and spleen and kidney yang deficiency. These syndromes accounted for 70.56%of the total.Additionally, the top 5 pathogenic syndromes were liver, spleen, gallbladder, kidney, and stomach, which accounted for 99.55%of the total.Lastly, the top 5 pathogenic syndromes were dampness, heat,qi deficiency, blood stasis, and qi stagnation, which accounted for 72.39%of the total. Conclusion:The main cause of chronic hepatitis B is a combination of"depression, deficiency, dampness, toxicity, and stasis".As clinical research on chronic hepatitis B in Chinese medicine advances, there is a growing consensus on the classification criterion for this condition.
