Evaluation of the therapeutic effect of Huayu Ruangan Jiedu formula combined with intermediate frequency pulse electrotherapy on patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis of liver depression and spleen deficiency combined with damp heat retention in the compensa
Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Huayu Ruangan Jiedu formula combined with intermediate frequency pulse electrotherapy on patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis of liver depression and spleen deficiency combined with damp heat retention in the compensatory stage.Methods:From April 2021 to June 2022,160 patients with compensatory cirrhosis of hepatitis B in our hospital were selected as the research objects.They were randomly grouped into the reference group and the test group by the number table method.Both groups were given anti-hepatitis B virus therapy.The reference group was treated with intermediate frequency pulse electrotherapy,while the test group was treated with Huayu Ruangan Jiedu formula combined with intermediate frequency pulse electrotherapy.The efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes,liver function indicators,the incidence of upper gastrointestinal bleeding,abdominal fluid accumulation,and primary liver cancer,and the quality of life questionnaire(SF-36)scores were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the overall efficacy rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).At weeks26 and 52 of treatment,as well as 26 and 52 weeks after the conclusion of treatment,both groups showed reductions in serum total bilirubin(TBil),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)levels,alongside increases in albumin(Alb)and cholinesterase(CHE)levels.However,the experimental group exhibited significantly lower serum TBil,ALT,and AST levels and higher Alb and CHE levels compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the overall incidence of upper gastrointestinal bleeding,ascites,and hepatocellular carcinoma in the experimental group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Post-treatment,SF-36 scores in both groups were higher than before treatment,with the experimental group scoring higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Huayu Ruangan Jiedu Formula and intermediate frequency pulse electrotherapy has an ideal effect,high safety,and can obviously protect liver function and improve patients'quality of life.
