Characteristics of Tongue and Its Surface Information in Patients with Hypertension
Objective:To explore the characteristic parameters of tongue and its coating in patients with different traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome types and different course of hypertension,so as to provide basis for the study of TCM diagnosis information.Methods:SmartTCM-I tongue-coating integrated instrument was used to collect tongue-coating information of 115 patients with hypertension,and compared characteristics of the tongue-surface color distribution of patients with different syndromes and different courses of hypertension.Results:There were differences in the parameters of tongue color and coating color in patients with different types of hypertension,among which the difference between hyperactivity of liver fire and Yin deficiency Yang hyperactivity were more obvious.The coating color parameter values G,B and H of patients with 5 to 10 years of hypertension were higher than those of patients with<5 years of hypertension,and the coating color parameter values R,G,B and H of patients with>10 years of hypertension were higher than those of patients with<5 years of hypertension(P<0.05).The surface and coating color parameter values G and B in patients with 5 to 10 years of hypertension were higher than those in patients with<5 years of hypertension,and the surface and coating color parameter values R,G and B values in patients with>10 years of hypertension were higher than those in patients with<5 years of hypertension(P<0.05).Conclusion:There are obvious differences in the parameters of tongue color and coating color among different types of hypertension patients,and different disease course.The objective characteristic parameters of tongue and coating diagnosis can be used as the objective basis for TCM syndrome differentiation and disease course diagnosis of hypertension.
