Relationship between Blood Lipid,Blood Coagulation Level and Stroke Progression in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients with Wind Phlegm Obstruction Syndrome
Objective:To study the relationship between blood lipid, blood coagulation and stroke progression in patients with acute ischemic stroke of wind phlegm obstruction. Methods:A total of 453 patients with ischemic stroke were collected and divided into wind phlegm obstruction syndrome group(299 cases)and non wind phlegm obstruction syndrome group(154 cases).General data of the patients were collected and the incidence of progressive stroke in the two groups was analyzed. The correlation of blood lipids, blood clotting and other parameters with stroke progression in patients with progressive stroke and non-progressive stroke with wind phlegm obstruction syndrome were compared and analyzed. Results:In the wind phlegm obstruction syndrome group, there were 115 progressive strokes and 184 non-progressive strokes, the incidence of stroke progression was 38.5%.Among the non wind phlegm obstruction syndrome group, there were 43 progressive strokes and 111 non-progressive strokes, the incidence of stroke progression was 27.9%.The incidence of stroke progression in wind phlegm obstruction syndrome group was significantly higher than that in the non wind phlegm obstruction syndrome group(χ2=4.971,P =0.026).There were significant differences in total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein between progressive stroke group and non-progressive stroke group(P<0.05).Total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein were positively correlated with the progression of wind phlegm obstruction syndrome cerebral apoplexy(r =0.145,P=0.016;r =0.127,P =0.034).Conclusion:The incidence of stroke progression in wind phlegm obstruction syndrome is significantly higher than that in non wind phlegm obstruction syndrome.Elevated total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein are directly related factors leading to stroke progression. In the clinical diagnosis and treatment of wind phlegm obstruction syndrome progressive stroke patients, the level of cholesterol and low density lipoprotein should be strictly controlled.
