Effects of Xifeng Huatan Formula Combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao Acupuncture on Clinical Efficacy and Cerebral Hemodynamics of Posterior-circulation Ischemic Stroke
Objective:To observe the clinical effect,cerebral hemodynamics and hemorheology of Xifeng Huatan Formula combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture on posterior-circulation ischemic stroke.Methods:Seventy-eight patients with posterior-circulation ischemic stroke admitted to our hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were randomly divided into the control group(treated with conventional Western medicine treatment)and the observation group(treated with Xifeng Huatan Formula combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture on basis of control group),with 39 cases in each group,all of them were treated for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions between two groups were observed,and the changes of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score,cerebral nerve injury markers,cerebral hemodynamics and hemorheology before and after treatment were compared of two groups.Results:The total effective efficacy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(92.31%vs 74.36%,χ2 =4.523,P =0.033).After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,NIHSS scores,the levels of S-100βand neuron-specific enolase(NSE)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The peak systolic blood flow velocity(PSV)of middle cerebral artery in the observation group was faster than that in control group,and the resistance index(RI)was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Whole blood high tangential viscosity,whole blood low tangential viscosity,erythrocyte specific volume and plasma viscosity index in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in both groups.Conclusion:Xifeng Huatan Formula combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture could effectively promote the recovery of nerve function in patients with posterior-circulation ischemic stroke,improve cerebral hemodynamics,reduce blood viscosity,accelerate hemorheology,and improve clinical efficacy with better safety.
