Systematic Evaluation of External Treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Cervical Hypertension
Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical effect of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for cervical hypertension. Methods:Randomized controlled trials of external treatment for cervical hypertension from the database establishment to November 10,2022 were searched from CNKI,VIP,WanFang Database,PubMed,EMbase and the Cochrane Library. Two researchers independently screened the literatures, extracted data, and conducted bias risk analysis.RevMan 5.4 software were used for Meta-analysis.Results:A total of 20 literatures were included, including 1 466 patients, with 734 patients in the observation group and 732 patients in the control group. The results of Meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, systolic blood pressure(MD=-11.03,95%CI-14.42--7.63,P<0.000 01),diastolic blood pressure(MD=-7.42,95%CI-8.80--6.03,P<0.000 01),Neck Disability Index(NDI)score(MD=-6.26,95%CI-10.81--1.72,P=0.007),Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score(MD=-2.60,95%CI-3.48--1.73,P<0.000 01)in the observation group decreased, antihypertensive efficacy(MD=1.24,95%CI 1.11-1.39,P=0.000 1)increased,traditional Chinese medicine symptoms(MD=-3.75,95%CI-5.33--2.16,P<0.000 01)improved,all differences were statistically significant. Conclusion:The current evidence showed that external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for cervical hypertension was safe and effective, and it could improve patients'blood pressure and related clinical symptoms. However, there were some poor the quality and quantity of literatures, further evaluation and large samples and high-quality studies were still needed.
