Exploration of the Medication Patterns of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the Treatment of Primary Hypertension Based on the Auxiliary Platform for Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance
Objective:To explore the medication regulations of traditional Chinese medicine for treating essential hypertension using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistant System software.Methods:The medical records of patients who were admitted to the Cardiovascular Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine between January 2020 to January 2023 and who were initially diagnosed with hypertension were collected,and the database was established.The data were analyzed using the statistical methods of frequency statistics,association rules,and complex system entropy clustering of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Auxiliary System.Results:A total of 374 medical records were screened for the treatment of primary hypertension,involving 225 traditional Chinese medicines.The four most common types of syndromes were hyperactivity of liver yang,obstruction of phlegm dampness of phlegm and blood stasis,and deficiency of qi and blood.The medicinal properties were mainly cold,warm,and flat,and the medicinal taste was mainly sweet and bitter.The meridians mainly focused on the liver,spleen,and stomach.The popular traditional Chinese medicine were Poria cocos,Atractylodes macrocephala,Glycyrrhiza uralensis,Gastrodia elata,Salvia miltiorrhiza,Scutellaria baicalensis,Bupleurum chinense,Pueraria lobata,Pineilia ternata,and Paeonia lactiflora.A total of 10 core drug combinations and 5 new prescriptions were obtained.Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine is mainly used to treat primary hypertension by calming the liver and suppressing yang,with supplementing qi and promoting blood circulation,clearing heat and dampness,and strengthening the spleen.
