Visual Analysis of Syndrome Evolution Based on Mapping Knowledge Domains
Objective:Visual tools CiteSpace and VOSviewer were used to analyze the present status,future development trend,and existing problems of the research on evolution of TCM syndromes,and to provide feasible suggestions for subsequent research.Methods:Literatures of TCM syndrome evolution were retrieved from CNKI,WanFang Data,and VIP self-built databases up to March 2022,and scientific knowledge maps were mapped by VOSviewer 1.6.17 and CiteSpace 5.3.R4.for Visual analysis of the publication year,author,organization,and keywords.Results:A total of 817 articles were included in the study.This field was gradually gained attention from 1980,there were four author clusters represented by Wang Yinghui,Fu Qiang,Huang Yan,and Sun Xiling,and the cooperation between the authors was relatively close.The main research institutions were led by Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,with close inter-regional cooperation,with a little of cross-regional cooperation.A total of 9 representative cluster labels were formed by keyword cluster analysis.The high-frequency Keywords included syndrome factors,coronary heart disease,perioperative period,type 2 diabetes mellitus,cluster analysis,etc.The emergent word was"syndrome factors".Conclusion:The research situation in the field of syndrome evolution was analyzed intuitively by visualization technology,which revealed that high-quality clinical research,theoretical exploration,animal experiments and biomarker research are the future research directions.
