Studies on Chemical Constituents from the Flowers of Carthamus tinctorius L.
Objective: To investigate the chemical constituents from the flowers of Carthamus tinctorius. Method: The chemical constituents were isolated and repeatedly purified on silica gel column. They were identified and structurally elucidated by means of physio-chemical constants and spectral analysis. Result: Eight compounds were identifed as palmitic acid(Ⅰ) , 1-O-hexa-decanolenin(Ⅱ), trans -3-tridccenc -5,7,9,11-tetrayne -1,2-diol(Ⅲ) , trans-trans-3 ,11-tridecadiene -5 ,7 ,9-triyne -1,2-diol(Ⅳ), coumaric acid(Ⅴ) , daucosterol(Ⅵ) , apigenin(Ⅶ) and kaempferol Ⅷ) , respectively. Conclusion; Two compounds( Ⅱ and Ⅲ) were obtained from the genus of Carthamus for the first time.
