Chemical Constituents from the Flowers of Hibiscus mutabilis(Ⅱ)
Objective:To study the chemical constituents from the flowers of Hibiscus mutabilis. Methods:The 90%ethanol extract from the flowers of Hibiscus mutabilis was isolated and purified by various technology, such as silica gel column chromatography,ODS column chromatography and preparative high performance liquid chromatography. The structures of the compounds were identified by the spectral data. Results:Seventeen compounds were isolated and purified from the flowers of Hibiscus mutabilis and identified as honokiol(1),magnolol(2),isohemigossylic acid lactone-2-methyl ether(3),ferulic acid(4),3-indolcarbaldehyde(5),abscisic acid(6),quer-cetin(7),kaempferol(8),8-(1-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethyl-3,3',4',5,7-pentahydroxyflavone)(9),cyclo-(Pro-Val)(10),benzyl-β-D-glucopyranoside(11),kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside(12),rhodionin(13),quercetin-3-O-(6"-O-trans-coumarayl)-β-D-glucopyrano-side(14),tiliroside(15),kaempferol-3-O-(6"-O-cis-p-coumaroyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside(16),kaempferol-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside(17),respectively.Conclusion:Among them, compounds 1 to 3,5,6,9 to 11,14 are isolated from Hibiscus genus for the first time.
