Study on Volatile Oil Components and In Vitro Pharmacological Activity of Different Parts of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis
Objective:To study the components of volatile oil from different parts of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis and to ex-plore their pharmacological activities in vitro. Methods:The essential oils of the leaves, stems and roots of Schisandra henrgi subsp.mar-ginalis were extracted by steam distillation. The essential oils of different parts of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis were isolated and identified by GC-MS technique. The relative percentage of the essential oils was determined by normalization method, the antioxidant ac-tivity of different parts of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis was determined by ABTS method, and NO content in cell culture medium was detected by Griess method. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of volatile oils from different parts of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis were compared. Results:A total of 46 components were identified.33,32 and 29 components were identified from the leaves, stems and roots of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis, which accounted for 93.01%,89.15%and 88.90%of the total volatile oil, respectively. The IC50 values of the antioxidant test results of the roots, stems and leaves of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis were 0.339,0.175 and 1.111 mg/mL,respectively,all of which showed good antioxidant capacity. The results of anti-inflammatory assay showed that NO content in 12.5,6.25,3.125,1.5625 and 0.78125 μg/mL cell culture medium of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis leaves groups was significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the NO content showed a tendency to decrease with the increase of dose.Con-clusion:The components of the volatile oil of Schisandra henrgi subsp.marginalis are mainly alcohols and olefins, and the components and relative contents of the volatile oil in different parts are different to some extent, showing better antioxidant activities, and leaves show the anti-inflammatory activity.
