Professor ZHANG Xilian's experience in treating Tourette syndrome from three yang based on the theory of"harmony method"
Tourette syndrome is complicated and involves a number of internal organs.Starting from the differ-entiation of the six channels,professor ZHANG Xilian believes that the pathogenesis of Tourette syndrome is insepa-rable from the disharmony of qi mechanism.Based on the theory of"harmony",combined with the differentiation of clinical syndromes,starting from the identification of the six meridians,professor Zhang believes that the most com-mon causes of the disease are the loss of harmony of the taiyang meridian qi,the disadvantage of shaoyang's pivot mechanism,and the disorder of yangming's zhongqi.By reconciling yingwei,shuffling the cardinal,regulating the spleen and stomach and other"harmonizing methods",distinguishing and treating by different channels,remarkable curative effects are often obtained.One case is presented for verification.
