The study analyzes the resources related to pediatrics in Beijing local chronicles,examining pediatric diseases,child care,medical writings of pediatricians,medical institutions for children,and pediatric personnel train-ing,to refine the characteristics of pediatric development in Beijing,collect historical materials related to epidemic prevention and treatment,and supplement the study of pediatric medical history.The study found that the local re-cords of pediatric diseases and treatment in Beijing vary in detail,and contain a wealth of pediatric medicine.Child care was integrated into living customs,enriching and developing the science of children healthy care.Protection a-gainst epidemics was highly valued,and the construction of institutions such as the Pox Avoidance Institute and the Cow Pox Bureau promoted the development of pediatric preventive medicine.The historical lineage of the medical writings of pediatricians and pediatric medical schools reflects the development and change of pediatric training pat-terns.
