Clinical observation on 33 cases of pediatric anorexia with spleen and stomach yin deficiency type in combination with modifying Yangwei Zenye Tang(养胃增液汤)and chiropractic treatment
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of modifying Yangwei Zenye Tang(养胃增液汤)com-bined with chiropractic therapy in the treatment of pediatric anorexia with spleen and stomach yin deficiency type.Methods Seventy cases of children with anorexia of spleen-stomach yin deficiency type who attended the outpa-tient clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine Paediatrics Department of Chenjiaqiao Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical and Pharmaceutical College from March 2021 to February 2022 were selected,and were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the method of random number table,with 35 cases in each group.In the end,there were 3 cases of dropout and 32 cases were completed in the control group,while in the treatment group,there were 2 cases of dropout and 33 cases were completed.In the control group,zinc gluconate oral solution and Bifidobacteriumbifidumtriphylium were given orally,while in the treatment group,modifying Yangwei Zenye Tang was given orally and combined with chiropractic therapy.1 week was given as a course of treatment for both groups,and the therapeutic efficacy of the two groups was counted after 2 consecutive courses of treatment.Results Before treatment,the Chinese medicine symptom points and total points of the two groups were not statistically significant(P＞0.05),and were comparable;after treatment,the Chinese medicine symptom points and total points of the two groups were significantly reduced compared with those of the same group before treatment,and the differ-ences between the two groups were statistically significant(P＜0.01),and the reduction of the treatment group was more significant(P＜0.01).The total effective rate was 96.97％(32/33)in the treatment group and 78.12％(25/32)in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).During the treatment period,there were 2 cases of mild gastrointestinal discomfort in the control group,which might be related to oral zinc gluconate oral solution,but it did not affect the treatment.there was no adverse reaction in the treatment group;no obvious abnormality was seen in the blood routine and liver and kidney function tests of the 2 groups.Conclusion The clinical efficacy of chiropractic therapy combined with modifying Yangwei Zenye Tang in treating anorexia of children with spleen and stomach yin deficiency is remarkable,which can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of children,and is safe and reliable.It's worthy of clinical popularization.
