Clinical observation on Xingsu Erchen Tang(杏苏二陈汤)combined Zhike Huatan Tie(止咳化痰贴)in treating children with pneumonia in convalescence stage of phlegm-dampness stagnation in the lung syndrome
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Xingsu Erchen Tang(杏苏二陈汤)combined Zhike Huatan Tie(止咳化痰贴)treating children with pneumonia in convalescence stage of phlegm-dampness stagnation in the lung syndrome.Methods 82 children with pneumonia in convalescence stage of phlegm-dampness stagnation in the lung syndrome were divided into 2 groups.Children assigned to the control group were given Ambroxol hydro-chloride and Clenbuterol hydrochloride oral solution,as well as Zhike Huatan Tie,and children assigned to the treat-ment group were given Xingsu Erchen Tang for 5 days.Results The total effective rate was 88.10％(37/42)in the treatment group and 62.50％(25/40)in the control group.The treatment group was better than the control group(P＜0.05).The scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05),and the scores of the treatment group after treatment were lower than those of the control group after treatment(P＜0.05).The coughing frequency in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05),the disap-pearance time of rales was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05),and the recurrence rate was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The time for improving symptoms such as sweating,loss of appetite and abnor-mal stools in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The routine blood tests,urine tests and stool tests in two groups were normal,and the level of AST,LDH,CK-MB,Scr and BUN were normal.Conclusion Xingsu Erchen Tang combined Zhike Huatan Tie is effective in treating phlegm-dampness stagnation in the lung syndrome during the convalescence stage of pediatric pneumonia,which can significantly reduce the fre-quency and duration of coughing episodes and improve the symptoms of abdominal distension,nausea,and irregular bowel movements,with a high degree of safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
