Experiences of three cases of thyroid disease-associated chronic cough in children treated with traditional Chinese medicine identification and therapy
When the treatment of chronic cough for common causes did not achieve satisfactory results,the cough symptoms were reduced or even disappeared through the treatment of thyroid disease,and it is believed that there is a certain correlation between thyroid disease and chronic cough.Through the holistic concept of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and differentiation treatment treatment,we carried out a"disease-symptom-differentia-tion"analysis,and used TCM to treat three cases of chronic cough associated with thyroid disorders(nodular goiter,subacute thyroiditis,and hyperthyroidism)in children,and gained good results,in order to improve the understand-ing of the rare etiological factors of chronic cough and to expand the diagnostic ideas of the etiological factors of chronic cough.This is to improve the understanding of the rare causes of chronic cough,to broaden the idea of etio-logical diagnosis of chronic cough,and to provide a new direction for the identification and treatment of chronic cough by traditional Chinese medicine.
