Clinical observation on modified Cangerzi San(苍耳子散)as adjunctive treatment of 49 cases of acute secretory otitis media in children with wind pathogenic external attack syndrome
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of modified Cangerzi San(苍耳子散)in the treatment of acute secretory otitis media in children with wind pathogenic external attack syndrome. Methods From July 2020 to December 2021,98 cases of children with acute secretory otitis media with wind pathogen external attack syn-drome who were treated in the otorhinolaryngology clinic of Linping District Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chi-nese and Western Medicine in Hangzhou were selected and divided into a control group and a treatment group ac-cording to the random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group was given mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium granules orally, and the treatment group was given modified Cangerzi San orally based on the treatment method of the control group. After continuous treat-ment for 10 days, the efficacy of both groups was statistically analyzed. Results The total effective rate of the treat-ment group was 93.88%(46/49),significantly higher than 79.59%(39/49)of the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The comparison of TCM symptom scores between the two groups before treatment showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),indicating comparability. After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of both groups were significantly reduced, and compared with the same group before treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the decrease in the treatment group was more significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The modified Cangerzi San has a definite therapeutic effect on children with acute secretory otitis media with wind pathogenic external attack syndrome, and can significantly improve clini-cal symptoms, which is worthy of clinical popularization.
