Clinical observation on the combination of Qufeng Xuanfei Fang(祛风宣肺方)and acupoint application in the treatment of 48 cases of cough after respiratory tract infection with lung injury caused by pathogenic wind syndrome
Objective To observe the clinical effiicacy of Qufeng Xuanfei Fang(祛风宣肺方)combined with acupoint application in the treatment of cough after respiratory tract infection with lung injury caused by pathogenic wind syndrome in children.Methods A total of 96 pediatric patients with cough wind evil injury lung syndrome af-ter respiratory tract infection admitted to pediatric department of Quzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from March 2021 to October 2022 were selected.They were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group using a random number table method,with 48 cases in each group.The control group was given oral administration of Montelukast sodium chewable tablets,while the treatment group was treated with Qufeng Xuanfei Fang combined with acupoint application.After 10 days of continuous treatment,compare the clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,cough disappearance time,and safety between two groups.The total effective rate of the control group was 81.25％(39/48),while the total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.83％(46/48).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference(P＞0.05)in the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes such as cough,sputum,pharyngeal itching,and nasal congestion between the two groups,indicating comparability.After treatment,the scores of two or more groups significantly decreased,and compared with the same group before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05),and the treatment group showed a more significant decrease(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference(P＞0.05)in the daytime cough,nighttime,social score,and total score be-tween the two groups before treatment,indicating comparability.After treatment,the scores of two or more groups sig-nificantly decreased,and compared with the same group before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05),and the treatment group showed a more significant decrease(P＜0.05).The disappearance time of cough in the treatment group was(5.79±1.81)days,significantly shorter than that in the control group(7.11±2.05)days.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The liver and kidney functions and blood routine tests of the two groups of children were normal,and no serious adverse reactions occurred.The in-cidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 8.33％(4/48),while in the treatment group it was 0.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of Qufeng Xuanfei Fang and acupoint application has a satisfactory therapeutic effect on the cough after respiratory tract infec-tion with lung injury caused by pathogenic wind syndrome.lt can significantly reduce the traditional Chinese medi-cine syndrome score and cough symptom score,and has good safety.It is worthy of clinical promotion and applica-tion.
