On the treatment of pediatric ocular myasthenia gravis from the perspective of wind
Firstly,from the perspective of"treating flaccidity with yangming alone",this article categorizes pediatric ocular myasthenia gravis as"flaccidity syndrome",and treats the disease based on spleen and stomach weakness.However,administering health supplements blindly can not eliminate pathogenic factors and has poor clin-ical efficacy.Based on the understanding that"wind is the root of all diseases",this article focuses on exploring the etiology and pathogenesis of pediatric ocular myasthenia gravis from the relationship between"internal wind","ex-ternal wind",and"internal wind and external wind".This article explains the causes of the disease by stating that the body of children is tender,with loose skin and muscle,insufficient qi and blood,and is prone to external infec-tion of the six pathogenic factors.Wind evil enters the eye eyelid meridian,causing obstruction of the eyelid meridian and insufficient qi and blood.Because of the deficiency of weiqi,the eyelids are out of use.It concludes that deficien-cy and wind are the key factors in the pathogenesis of the disease.Finally,from the perspective of the treatment of wind,if the disease is new,herbs are used to dispel the wind,and if the disease is recurring or lingering,insect medicine is used to search out root of the disease,in order to provide reference for the treatment of this disease by traditional Chinese medicine.
