Clinical observation on the treatment of 60 cases of febrile symptoms(wind heat syndrome)in children with sigmoid colon drip of Sanyang Qingjie Ye(三阳清解液)
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Sanyang Qingjie Ye(三阳清解液)in the treatment of children with febrile symptoms(wind heat syndrome)through sigmoid colon drip.Methods 120 children with febrile symptoms(wind heat syndrome)who visited the pediatric outpatient department of Zhengzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Henan University of Chinese Medicine from June to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into two groups with a random number table,with 60 cases in each group.The control group received oral administration of Xiaoer Chaigui Tuire Granules(小儿柴桂退热颗粒),while the treatment group received sigmoid colon drip of Sanyang Qingjie Ye.Both groups were treated for 2 days and continued to be observed for 24 hours.The onset time of antipyretic effect,complete fever reduction time,fre-quency of combining with ibuprofen during treatment,clinical efficacy,and adverse reactions were recorded for both groups.Results The effective time and complete fever reduction time of the treatment group were shorter than those of the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.01).The treatment group used ibuprofen less frequently than the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statisti-cally significant(P＜0.01).The total effective rate of the control group was 81.67％(49/60),while that of the treatment group was 95.00％(57/60).The difference in total effective rates between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 15.00％(9/60),while in the treatment group it was 8.33％(5/60).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05).Both groups of adverse reactions were mild and did not affect treatment.Conclusion The treatment of chil-dren's febrile symptoms(wind heat syndrome)by sigmoid colon drip of Sanyang Qingjie Ye can improve children's febrile symptoms faster,with faster recovery of body temperature,fewer times of combining with ibuprofen,less ad-verse reactions,and remarkable efficacy,which is worth to be popularized and applied in clinics.
