Clinical observation on 50 cases of pediatric tic disorder with wind phlegm entering the meridians pattern treated by rapid and painless flying needle therapy combined with self-made Xifeng Zhichou Gao(息风止抽膏)
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of rapid and painless flying needle therapy combined with self-made Xifeng Zhichou Gao(息风止抽膏)in the treatment of pediatric tic disorder with wind phlegm ente-ring the meridians pattern. Methods A total of 100 pediatric patients with tic disorder of wind phlegm entering the meridians pattern who visited the outpatient clinic of Weihai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2018 to June 2020 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with oral Tiapride, while the treatment group received rapid and painless flying needle therapy combined with oral self-made Xifeng Zhichou Gao.Both groups were treated continuously for 3 months, and the efficacy was evaluated after treatment, half a year after treatment, and 1 year after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of vocal tics, motor tics, and func-tional impairment between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparability. After treatment, the scores of the a-bove indicators in both groups were significantly reduced, and the difference was statistically significant compared with before treatment(P<0.05),with a more significant reduction in the treatment group(P<0.05).Half a year and 1 year after treatment, the scores of the above indicators in the control group increased significantly compared with after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statisti-cally significant difference in the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group were significantly reduced, and the difference was statistically significant compared with before treatment(P<0.05).However,the reduction in TCM syndrome scores in the control group was not significant(P>0.05).Half a year and 1 year after treatment, the reduction in TCM syndrome scores in both groups was not significant, and the difference was not statistically signifi-cant compared with after treatment(P>0.05).The total effective rate in the treatment group was 78.00%(39/50),significantly higher than that in the control group(60.00%,30/50),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Rapid and painless flying needle therapy combined with self-made Xifeng Zhichou Gao can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of pediatric tic disorder with wind phlegm entering the meridians pattern, with good long-term efficacy, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
