Reform and practice of the blended teaching model of MOOC+flipped classroom in the course of"Pediatrics of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine"
This paper, guided by clinical issues in pediatrics of integrated traditional Chinese and Western med-icine(TCM-WM),takes students as the center and explores the reform and practice of the"1+3"blended teaching model of MOOC+Flipped Classroom in the course of"Pediatrics of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine".By establishing a MOOC platform(the"1"),the course teaching is divided into three stages:pre-class,in-class,and post-class(the"3").Before class, students complete MOOCs and assigned learning tasks online.Dur-ing class, teachers adopt a flipped classroom approach guided by clinical problems, utilizing various teaching meth-ods to guide students in active learning. After class, science popularization and practical theme-based teaching are implemented to enhance students'hands-on abilities.Ultimately, the MOOC platform has produced 33 instructional videos covering over 20 foundational and clinical knowledge points in pediatric TCM-WM.A questionnaire survey re-vealed that students'recognition rates in improving self-learning ability, literature review skills, team collaboration skills, innovative practical abilities, communication skills, and stimulating learning interest were 96.6%,94.9%,84.7%,83.8%,81.3%,and 81.3%,respectively.We believe that establishing a MOOC platform that aligns with the course syllabus and expands knowledge points is crucial to teaching reform.Transforming teachers'teaching philoso-phies,enhancing teaching proficiency, and applying diverse teaching methods serve as the foundation for stimulating students'initiative and engagement,as well as ensuring the stability of the teaching team and the success of teach-ing reform.
