Through reviewing relevant literature,this paper summarizes the research progress in traditional Chi-nese medicine(TCM)for the diagnosis and treatment of precocious puberty in the past decade,focusing on etiolo-gy,pathogenesis,and syndrome differentiation and treatment.It concludes that the disease locations of precocious pu-berty mainly involve the kidneys,liver,and spleen.The core pathogenesis is deficiency of liver and kidney,accompa-nied by liver depression transforming into fire and spleen deficiency with dampness.Clinically,the most common syndromes include yin deficiency with fire effulgence,stagnation of liver qi with heat,and phlegm-dampness obstruc-tion.The therapeutic principles are nourishing yin and reducing fire,soothing the liver and relieving depression,and invigorating the spleen and resolving phlegm.Furthermore,based on the unique TCM concept of"preventive treat-ment of disease",the paper discusses the regulation and care of children with precocious puberty from aspects of health management and physical constitution adjustment,emphasizing the importance of early prevention and treat-ment.
