Clinical observation on Jianpi Yiqi Gao(健脾益气膏)in the treatment of 35 cases of tic disorders with spleen deficiency and phlegm accumulation pattern in children
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Jianpi Yiqi Gao(健脾益气膏)in the treatment of tic disorders with spleen deficiency and phlegm accumulation pattern in children.Methods A total of 72 pediatric pa-tients with tic disorders(TD)with spleen deficiency and phlegm accumulation pattern who visited the pediatric out-patient clinic of Jingzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2021 to December 2022 were se-lected.During the treatment period,2 patients dropped out(1 due to inability to complete the entire trial process and 1 due to self-administered additional medication),and the remaining patients were randomly divided into a treat-ment group and a control group,with 35 patients in each.All children received psychological counseling as basic treatment.The control group received Changma Xifeng Tablets(菖麻熄风片)orally on the basis of basic treatment,while the treatment group received Jianpi Yiqi Gao orally on the basis of basic treatment.After 8 weeks of continuous treatment,the total clinical effective rate was calculated for both groups,and comparisons were made in terms of the total Yale Global Tic Severity Scale(YGTSS)score,total traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score before and after treatment,and the occurrence of adverse reactions.Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was 91.43％(32/35),significantly higher than the 80.00％(28/35)in the control group,with a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total YGTSS scores between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05),indicating comparability.After treatment,the total YGTSS scores in both groups decreased significantly compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05),with a more significant decrease in the treatment group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total TCM symptom scores between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05),indicating comparability.After treatment,the total TCM symptom scores in both groups decreased significantly compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05),with a more significant decrease in the treatment group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Jianpi Yiqi Gao is effective in the treatment of tic disorders with spleen deficiency and phlegm accumulation pattern in children,significantly re-ducing the total YGTSS score and total TCM symptom score,and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
