Knowledge visualization with CiteSpace of current situation and focuses of traditional Chinese medicine education research in China
Objective To provide reference for the development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)education in China by means of bibliometric visualization of research literature related to TCM education.Methods Papers published from January 1,2010 to January 1,2023 were retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP,and Wanfang databases with the keyword of TCM education.CiteSpace was then used to analyze and visualize information of the authors,institutions,and keywords of the literature.Results Among the 13,333 articles related to such education included in the present research,authors affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine contributed the highest number.The keywords of the highest frequency are teaching reform,educational models,and ideological and political education in professional courses.Based on an analysis of the high-frequency keywords,research focuses are identified as teaching reform,education models and talent cultivation,and research frontiers ideological and political education in professional courses,teaching plan and confidence in TCM culture.Conclusion While TCM education is highly valued in China,increasing attention is paid to reforming the education,strengthening ideological and political education in professional courses,improving teaching plan,and enhancing confidence in TCM culture,which is of great significance for high-quality development of relevant education.
