Analysis of questionnaire survey results of students taking Proficiency Test for Chinese Medicine Majors(Undergraduate):a case study of Southern Medical University
The proficiency test for undergraduate traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)majors is an important way to assess the teaching outcome of TCM undergraduate programs in higher learning institutions.Making a case analysis of Southern Medical University(SMU),this study conducted a questionnaire survey on undergraduates majoring in TCM in five-year programs who participated in the proficiency tests in 2021 and 2022.The survey focused on five aspects:students' enthusiasm for learning, ways of learning, evaluation of test difficulty,self-evaluation of weaknesses, and suggestions for test preparation.Analysis of the survey results revealed that the students at SMU lacked enough motivation for learning, effective ways of learning, solid theoretical knowledge and good practical skills, especially theoretical knowledge of TCM classics and basic clinical skills of Western medicine. For these issues,we gave relevant suggestions which aim to constantly improve the quality of teaching and talent cultivation of the TCM undergraduate program at the university, providing reference for similar colleges and universities.
