Reform practice of postgraduate courses of the program Foreign Language Studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the context of the new liberal arts
This paper made a case study of the course Research Ideas and Methods in Foreign Language Studies to analyze the education reform and teaching practice of postgraduate courses offered by the program Foreign Language Studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the context of the new liberal arts.During the five years of teaching practice,we carried out reform from the perspective of knowledge integration,oriented by research questions,centered on innovation capability,and by means of research project-based learning.In this way,we explored and adjusted the teaching contents,methods and evaluations accordingly.The teaching effects of the reform were then assessed with questionnaire surveys and interviews of teachers and students.Based on our research findings,this paper pointed out the reform in the future could focus on the long-term mechanism for rational development of curriculum,improvement of teaching contents and effective communication between teachers and students.
