Exploration of the effectiveness mechanism of practice education in higher traditional Chinese medicine institutions:a case study of the 2022 summer social practice at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine
Objective To investigate the awareness and implementation of the 2022 Beijing University of Chinese Medicine summer social practice among the student community at the university.Methods From July to September 2022,after the completion of the summer social practice,a survey was conducted using a questionnaire among the students of Chinese Medicine who participated in this social practice as the research subjects.A total of 1 674 valid questionnaires were collected,and the results were subjected to data analysis and evaluation.Results During the social practice,most students tended to choose topics related to the dissemination of Chinese medicine and revolutionary history.Of the practice activities,78.26%were conducted in urban areas and 21.74%in rural areas.Overall,nearly 90%of the students expressed satisfaction with the social practice,while nearly half of the practice team members felt that their knowledge of Chinese medicine culture and skills was insufficient.Conclusion The practice-education mechanism is an important measure to implement the Party′s educational guidelines,and social practice is an important means of practice education in current universities.The survey results indicate limitations in the practice education mechanism at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.It is necessary to innovatively integrate"practice subject evaluation"and delve deeper into"leveraging strengths and learning through practice"as a focus for future work.
