Analysis of current situation and trends of the flipped classroom model in traditional Chinese medicine education
Objective To explore the application status,hotspots and emerging trends of Flipped Classroom in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)education,and provide a reference for further research and teaching reform.Methods Literature related to the flipped classroom in TCM education was retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang,and VIP databases.Visualization analysis of annual publications,authors,institutions and keywords were performed using CiteSpace and VOSviewer.Results The number of annual publications exhibited an upward trend.Institutions with a large number of publications were Guangxi university of traditional Chinese medicine,Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.High-frequency keywords included teaching reform,micro-course,teaching mode,WeChat,and teaching methods,etc.Hotspot clustering results were flipped classroom,clinical teaching,teaching mode,practical teaching,micro-course,teaching method,teaching practice,experimental teaching,and teaching design.Conclusion The application of the flipped classroom is gaining increasing attention.Exploring the innovation of teaching methods and models and improve teaching quality through the implemention of the flipped classroom in online teaching of TCM education is a research hotspot.Expanding the application of the flipped classroom to encompass curriculum ideology and politics adn various teaching models is a research trend in this field.
