The significance and role of traditional Chinese medicine cultural symbols in international dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine:a case study of the"10 seconds"traditional Chinese medicine experience zone at the Beijing Winter Olympics
Located in Beijing Winter Olympic Village,the"10 seconds"Traditional Chinese Medicine Experience Zone of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is a unique symbol of Beijing as the"Dual-Olympic City".The application of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)cultural symbols in the pavilion provides valuable experience for promoting the international dissemination of TCM.Natural symbols,including animal and plant imagery,transmit TCM values,while man-made symbols narrate TCM stories,and artistic imaginative symbols deepen aesthetic appeal,collectively enhancing the effectiveness of TCM's international dissemination.Developing TCM cultural symbols,represented by animal and plant imagery,will pave new pathways for the international dissemination of TCM.
