Visualization analysis of the current status and hotspots of teaching research in traditional Chinese internal medicine based on CiteSpace
Objective To study the current status, hotspots, and trends of teaching research in traditional Chinese internal medicine, providing references for subsequent teaching research and educational reform. Methods Literature related to the teaching of traditional Chinese internal medicine was searched in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang, and VIP databases, covering the period from the establishment of the databases to October 31,2023.CiteSpace was used for visual literature analysis. Results A total of 801 articles were included. The number of publications has been increasing since 2000,with dynamic fluctuations from 2011 to 2022.The analysis showed that a core author group has not yet formed, and the sources of institutional publications are relatively single, with little cooperation between institutions.Keyword clustering identified three important modules as research hotspots:clinical teaching practice, teaching method reform, and curriculum ideological and political construction. Keywords with high burst strength included flipped classroom, curriculum ideological and political construction, and micro-lecture.Conclusion Through the visual analysis of literature in the field of traditional Chinese internal medicine teaching using CiteSpace, this study summarizes the research trends and hotspots, analyzes the causes of these hotspots, and provides references for teaching research and reform in traditional Chinese internal medicine.Future teaching in traditional Chinese internal medicine can be promoted from three aspects:cultivating Chinese medicine thinking, reforming teaching methods, and building curriculum ideological and political construction.
