Analysis of research hotspots and themes of professional postgraduates majoring in orthopedics of traditional Chinese medicine in recent 10 years from the perspective of co-word clustered analysis:a case study of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine
Objective Through high-frequency keyword extraction and co-word clustering analysis of the dissertations of postgraduates majoring in orthopedics and traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine over the past 10 years,this study explores the distribution of research hotspots and themes.Methods Dissertations of professional postgraduates majoring in orthopedics of traditional Chinese medicine from 2014 to 2023 were retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang database,and a self-built dissertation database.The BICOMB software was used for word frequency analysis of the keywords,generating a high-frequency keyword co-occurrence matrix.Co-word clustering analysis and visual presentation were performed using the gCLUTO software.Results A total of 752 dissertations were included,from which 1,490 keywords were extracted.Sixty-two high-frequency keywords with a frequency of≥8 were identified.The co-word cluster analysis revealed five main research hotspots:minimally invasive and conservative treatment of spinal degenerative diseases,traditional Chinese medicine treatment of bone and joint diseases during the perioperative period,application of three-dimensional finite element analysis in orthopedic diseases,traditional Chinese medicine conservative treatment of traumatic fractures,and related research on perioperative care of orthopedic diseases in the elderly.Conclusion The topics selected by professional postgraduates majoring in orthopedics of traditional Chinese medicine are closely related to frontline clinical practice.The research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of common clinical diseases in traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics and the forefront of academic research,reflecting the academic trends and educational goals of higher education in this field in China.
