Empirical study on translation capability of traditional Chinese medicine:A case study based on Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and analysis
With the rapid development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in China,TCM translators play a crucial role in international exchanges and academic cooperation.To meet the increasing demand for TCM translation,higher education institutions specializing in Chinese medicine must implement translation teaching reforms to enhance the professional competence and translation skills of TCM translators.This study,based on research conducted at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,utilizes questionnaire surveys to analyze the perceived importance and difficulty of various aspects of TCM translation capabilities.Additionally,through interviews,the study explores students' awareness of and training needs regarding TCM translation.The findings provide data support and references for the development of TCM translation capabilities and the implementation of teaching reforms.
