Characteristics of doctor training in integration of traditional and western medicine based on dissertations in diabetes field
Objective To investigate the current situation and scientific idea of doctoral training of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine (iTCWM) by analyzing the research direction of doctoral theses in the field of diabetes. Methods Based on the source and research direction of dissertations of iTCWM in diabetes,this study analyzed and summarized 141 doctoral dissertations in the basic and clinical departments of iTCWM from years of 2011 to 2021 using bibliometric methods. Results In the field of diabetes,the doctoral training of iTCWM is largely rely on key universities of traditional Chinese medicine,and the researches of "combination of disease and syndrome" (50.4％) and "Chinese medicine+western medicine" (41.8％) are the mainstream of iTCWM. Conclusion The doctor training program of iTCWM in diabetes area has formed,and achievements have emerged,however the highlight research on the integrative theory of iTCWM is still lacking.
