Developing Vocational Skills for Success and Justice:Thinking about Strategy for Technical and Vocational Education and Training(2022-2029)
The global crisis and changes in the labor market pose challenges to sustainable development.UNESCO has released a report on Strategy for Technical and Vocational Education and Training(2022-2029),which aims to transform vocational and technical education and training to meet these challenges.The report aims to help youth and adults grow their skills for employment opportunities and promote digital,green and inclusive economic development,leading to a successful and just transition.The strategy advocates three main actions:firstly,developing skills needed for all individuals to learn,work and live;secondly,skills needed to develop an inclusive and sustainable economy;and thirdly,skills needed to develop an inclusive and peaceful society.The report's vision,ideas and actions for the future of vocational and technical education and training are important inspirations for digital,green and inclusive vocational education that serves lifelong learning in China.
