Centennial Vocational School Record:Tianjin Higher Industrial School
Tianjin Higher Industrial School was founded in 1903 and Zhou Xuexi became its president in 1904.In 1929,it was upgraded to Hebei Provincial Industrial College with Wei Yuanguang as its first president.In 1952,it was merged with Jingu University and other higher education institutions into Peiyang University,and was named Tianjin University by the Central People's Government.The educa-tional thoughts and school-running philosophy formed by this school,such as the integration of production and learning,the cultivation of double-qualified teachers and the cooperation between schools and enterprises,are valuable legacies that should be inherited and promoted in the contemporary vocational education community.
