Study on the behavior path of tourists'food waste by nudging intervention——Based on behavioral design thinking analysis
Tourism produces more food waste than when eating out in general.Nudge interventions are effective in reducing food waste behavior.This paper used the behavior design thinking method to investigate the factors of tourists' food consumption experience and waste behavior,located the types of tourists'food consumption needs and behavior change content,and proposed the nudge interven-tion path from the perspective of behavior design thinking.The results showed that:①The pain points of tourists'food consumption ex-perience were closely related to the factors of food waste behavior,and flexibility to meet tourists' food consumption needs and change the external environment were the focus of nursing intervention.②Nudge interventions should focus not only on changes in visitors'ac-tual behavior but also on the satisfaction of their needs and experiences.③Based on the concept of behavior change and meeting needs and experiences as the key,this paper selected appropriate design methods to propose two nudge intervention paths:Decision support and decision meaning.Decision support could support tourists'food and beverage consumption decisions through digital nudges and in-formation design.Decision-making significance could improve tourists' food consumption experience through food design,restaurant service design,and social innovation design.
