Analysis of the impact mechanism of agricultural mechanization on the income of mountainous farmers——Based on panel data of 26 mountainous counties in Zhejiang Province
The impact of agricultural mechanization on the income of rural households in mountain areas is a problem worthy of consideration in the process of common prosperity. This paper used FGLS method to examine the impact of agricultural mechanization on farmers'income in mountain areas based on the panel data of 26 counties in mountain areas of Zhejiang Province from 2007 to 2020.The results showed that:①The improvement of agricultural mechanization level could significantly increase the income of farmers, and agricultural mechanization mainly promoted the increase of farmers'wage income through labor transfer.②The number of small agricul-tural machinery also had a significant positive impact on farmers'income, and the use of small agricultural machinery was conducive to the improvement of farmers'income. And through the adjustment effect test,it was found that mountain terrain had a positive effect on agricultural mechanization to promote farmers' income.Even with the constraints of terrain conditions, the improvement of agricultural mechanization level in mountain areas could still significantly increase farmers' income.26 counties in mountainous areas of Zhejiang Province should continue to promote the use of small agricultural machinery, improve the level of intensive land use in mountainous are-as,and strengthen the construction of agricultural infrastructure. Therefore,it would promote the modernization of agriculture and rural areas in 26 mountainous counties of Zhejiang Province and achieve common prosperity.
