Participatory event tourism value co-creation process model——A multi-case study based on Grounded theory
Participatory event tourism is an important field of sports and tourism integration,which is also a key component to pro-mote sports consumption.Taking Chengdu WNCH Marathon,ShengDeng Mountain Buddha Shadow Running Training Competition,and DaGu Ancient Glacier Cycling Challenge as case samples,this paper applied grounded theory to construct a process model for the co-creation of tourism value in participatory events.This paper first analyzed the phenomenon of participatory event tourism value co-crea-tion involving the government,event organization and event tourists,and then identified the key elements of the practice of participatory event tourism value co-creation,namely institutional guarantee,event organization dynamic ability compatibility,event tourists'partici-pation opportunities,participation ability,co-creation behavior,experience value and social capital.Finally,this paper logically con-nected them through five stages:initiation of value co-creation,environment-construction for value co-creation,event visitor partici-pation,interaction and resource integration,yield of value.On the above,this paper proposed optimized strategies from the aspects of precise policy implementation,eliminating hidden barriers,and consolidating the dynamic ability of event organization.
